YVONNE RODRIGUEZ
200hr RYT
Yvonne began teaching yoga in 2012 when she obtained her first 100 hour Hot Yoga certification from The Mind Body Studio in El Paso, TX.
She continued to evolve her practice in various styles of yoga, meditation, and injury prevention and completed her 200hr Yoga Teacher Training (YTT) certification in June of 2018 from locally owned studio Casa De Yoga. She enjoys teaching her students, of all levels and ages, about the mental and physical benefits of yoga. She has worked and volunteered at various studios and locations throughout the city including The Mind Body Studio, Casa De Yoga, UTEP Student Recreation Center, The Farmers Market at Ardovino’s Desert Crossing, Silvestre & Carolina Reyes Elementary school, and several other health care facilities for both patient and medical staff. She has experience teaching various styles of yoga including vinyasa, prenatal, children’s yoga, yoga for elderly, yoga for injuries, hot power yoga, and restorative yoga.
Yvonne has been practicing Occupational Therapy in the El Paso community since graduating from The University of Texas at El Paso in 2004. She obtains an active license by the Texas Board of Occupational Therapy Examiners as well as a National Board Certification in Occupational Therapy. She is also a Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner. She has close to 20 years of experience of working as an Occupational Therapist and enjoys rehabilitative techniques such as cupping, tapping, myofascial release, and breathwork. Becoming a Yoga instructor has broadened her knowledge and approach to treating patients from a holistic point of view.
About Yvonne’s Class
Yvonne’s class focuses on bringing awareness to each movement with breath. The class includes various poses, that can be modified, to address the individuals needs and typically ends with a form of meditation incorporating essential oils (if preferred) to help restore balance and relaxation.
