WAYNE GARDNER
200hr RYT
An El Paso native, Wayne loves practicing yoga in all aspects of life and teaching it to a variety of students, including seniors and first-timers. He attended his first yoga class in 2001 in Ketchum, Idaho, and was immediately captivated by the practice. In 2017, he obtained his 200-hour certification from Casa de Yoga in El Paso, where he taught for several years. Recently, he worked for three years at a youth camp in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains in New Mexico, where he continued to practice and teach in the Santa Fe area.
An avid runner, he regularly participates in marathons and half-marathons, and also enjoys hiking and trail running. In 2020, he became a Certified Nutrition Coach (NASM).
About Wayne’s Class
Wayne teaches all levels with a foundation in the Five Pillars of Yogic Balance: Right Exercise, Right Breathing, Right Thinking, Right Nutrition, and Right Relaxation. His classes are built around traditional asanas (poses) and offer modifications so that all participants can benefit. He also teaches the benefits of yoga as a complement to other activities such as running, hiking, biking, and weightlifting.
